A New Life for Urban Greenery: Tree Planting in Hadzhi Dimitar Neighborhood
On October 17, 2024, the SURYA Foundation, with the support of our partners Health for Wealth, successfully carried out a tree-planting initiative in the garden behind Block 87, situated between three large residential buildings in the Hadzhi Dimitar neighborhood.
This activity was made possible thanks to the volunteers who actively participated in the project, as well as the cooperation of the Poduyane District of Sofia Municipality.
The trees, including Catalpa, Horse Chestnut, and Maple, not only enhance the neighborhood’s aesthetics but will also contribute to a cleaner and greener urban environment for its residents. The planting was successfully completed, with each tree carefully watered to ensure a strong start to its new life.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nikolay Grozdanov, who generously provided his excavator free of charge to dig the holes for the trees, significantly facilitating the planting process. His support was key to the success of this initiative.
