Let's Clean Together! Cleanup Under the Brussels Bridge, Iskar District, Sofia

We are thrilled to share that our campaign in support of World Cleanup Day was a great success!
Around 30 amazing volunteers dedicated their time and effort, bringing energy and enthusiasm to clean up the area under the Brussels Blvd. bridge, near the playground and the parking lot of Block 20 in Druzhba.
Together, we collected a large amount of waste, transforming the space into a cleaner and more welcoming environment for the local community.
Among the collected waste, we noticed a significant number of tires, clothing, and cigarette butts. We encourage everyone to use designated clothing recycling bins and to avoid littering cigarette butts in nature. Tires are extremely difficult to recycle, and burning a single car tire releases a large amount of harmful chemicals.
Please dispose of them at one of the official collection sites designated by Sofia Municipality.
