New Medical Equipment for the Protected Housing Facility in Strazhitsa

Thanks to the generosity of donors, several important improvements have been made at the Protected Housing Facility for people with intellectual disabilities in the town of Strazhitsa—greatly enhancing the living conditions there.

Among the newly provided items is a parallel bar set, essential for regular physical therapy exercises. It is particularly important for Stoyan, one of the young residents, who lives with severe physical disabilities and uses a wheelchair. Despite the clear need, such equipment had not been available until now.

Thanks again to donations from dedicated supporters of SURYA’s causes, the facility also received a medical records cabinet and a fully equipped first-aid kit. Previously, medications were stored in an old, deteriorating wardrobe; now, they are properly organized and safely stored, ensuring better security and control.

This quiet but meaningful success is a powerful reminder that shared compassion and unity lead to real change in the daily lives of those who need special care and attention. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed funds and kindness to improve the care for all residents of the Protected Housing Facility in Strazhitsa.

We are continuing to raise funds for the purchase of a transport vehicle, which is vitally important for the young people living in the facility.
