Volunteers Cultivate 500 Saplings in Sofia’s New Forest

On August 20, we took another step together toward a greener Sofia!

With the team of Suria Foundation, volunteers, and partners, we weeded and cultivated nearly 500 young trees in the Abdovitsa neighborhood – part of Sofia Municipality’s project  “The New Forest of Sofia.”

Around 20 volunteers joined in, with the largest group coming from Chaos, who contributed not only with hard work but also with a delicious lunch for everyone. The Iskar District administration took on the commitment to water the trees – and already the very next day, they were refreshed.
Local residents also expressed their gratitude – one of them even gifted us two sacks of homegrown cucumbers.
