“Christmas Light for Children’s Smiles 2025”: A Confident Start and a Truly Festive Gathering in the Village of Borovan
At the end of 2025, Surya Foundation carried out the charitable campaign “Christmas Light for Children’s Smiles”, aimed at supporting children from families with limited means in the village of Borovan. The goal of the initiative was to ensure that each child received the necessary school supplies and could begin the new school year with confidence and motivation.
As part of the campaign, backpacks, notebooks, paints, colored pencils, markers, drawing pads, and pencil cases with all essential school supplies were provided, along with a small sweet treat, to 157 children from the Center for Personal Development Support “Masha Belmustakova.” For many of them, this was more than just a set of supplies — it was a sign that their efforts matter and that someone believes in them.
As every year, the Surya Foundation team personally visited the children in Borovan during the Christmas holidays. The meeting turned into a true celebration — the children welcomed us with a specially prepared program of songs, dances, and recitations, filled with excitement, dedication, and joy. These moments once again reminded us why personal presence and human connection are such an essential part of our initiatives.
The campaign was made possible thanks to the support of donors who believed that small gestures can have a big impact, and that educational support is one of the most meaningful forms of charity. Every donation, every shared message, and every helping hand helped make Christmas 2025 brighter for the children of Borovan.
Surya Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this experience possible. “Christmas Light for Children’s Smiles” is not just a campaign — it is a tradition of care, consistency, and shared joy that we proudly carry forward every year.
