Here’s how this campaign ended
What did we achieve?
On a 4-acre plot, 1,100 saplings were planted, with the support of the Sofia Municipality and our partners from Save Soil.
How did the campaign unfold?
The campaign on October 20, 2024, was successful with the participation of 57 volunteers, including about 10 charming children. The event contributed to a greener and more sustainable environment, continuing the Surya Foundation’s mission to preserve nature.

We invite you to join us in our tree planting action in the dried-up riverbed of the Abdivitsa neighborhood, in the village of Busmantsi.
This activity is in support of the Sofia Municipality’s “New Forest of Sofia” campaign. The goal is to plant forests on lands within the Municipality that are no longer suitable for agriculture and grazing. These forests are urgently needed. Forests are the lungs of our nature. Every tree planted is worth it.
