On September 3, the Surya Foundation is organizing a volunteer action for weeding and hoeing of saplings in Sofia’s New Forest. This is part of our long-term commitment to the thousands of trees planted in previous campaigns.

The accumulated vegetation around the young trees makes it harder for them to access moisture and nutrients. With just a few hours of work, we can greatly improve their chances of survival and help them grow strong.
Meeting point: the bus stop at the bridge over the Iskar River in the Abdovitsa neighborhood
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
It’s best to wear long pants, as the grassy areas are not fully maintained.
We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent (to keep ticks away), and water to stay comfortable.
Join us– we’ll provide everything you need. All that’s required is the will and readiness to leave a mark – not in words, but in the soil.
